TESTAMENTA YA YIPYA
(The Nkoya New Testament)
Deerfield Baptist Church, Westwood Baptist and other friends of the ministry have raise the necessary $10, 000 to print the Nkoya New Testament. We are working with the Bible Society of Zambia and hope to have the printing completed soon! CLICK on the letter below to see a copy of the official letter from the Bible Society of Zambia detailing the need. WHILE the initial funds have been raised, we would like to raise more money so that we can print additional bibles, $4 each. Additionally we will need help with the cost of shipping them from the printer in Kenya back to Zambia. If you are interested in being a part of this exciting journey, please contact us! CHRONOLOGICAL BIBLE STORYING
Chronological Bible Storying (CBS) is the primary tool for both evangelism and discipleship throughout Central/ Southern Africa and throughout the world, adopted by the IMB (International Mission Board.) CBS is a tool that is highly effective, geared toward oral learners (as opposed to those that are highly literate and would prefer learning by written materials.)
Africans in particular are people that live by "the story." Most everything they know or will ever tell anyone else is told in the form of a story. Thus it is only logical that they would learn best through a story-based method. Over 2/3's of the Bible is narrative, God knew what He was doing!
Incidentally, MANY American churches are beginning to use CBS as a primary tool for teaching & preaching because over 80% of Americans are only semi-literate (they can read but their comprehension level is low and their preference is to learn by hearing/ visual types of media.)
BELOW you will find a virutally UNLIMITED amont of resources on CBS. (Most of these resources are in powerpoint format.) The file below is a ZIP file (.zip) and it is 29.5 MB. I am sure that you will find some or all of these resources helpful.
CLICK HERE for various CBS resources
You will need an unzip tool like "WinZip" to open the zipped folder. (Newer computers should open the folder with no problem.)
